About myself

Dr. Lakshmi kanthi Remella, Associate Professor of English, awarded Ph.D in JNTU Hyderabad and has over thirty five years of academic and research experience in India and abroad. Her Ph.D work was on post-colonial Literature. Prior to PhD, she had earned Bachelors of Arts, and Masters of Arts in English Language and Literature Apart from English Language and literature she is also a computer literate and earned her Sun certification and worked on a project to develop java applications in JinfernoIndia. She also worked on a project in production planning and control for one and half years in Cherry soft Inc.London, England.

Dr. Lakshmi kanthi Remella’s research interests include Post-colonial literature, diaspora, Indian writing in English, English Communication skills and employability skills in which she has more than 8 publications, in various journals and conferences.

Dr.Lakshmi kanthi Remella is currently in charge of ELCS Lab for Enhancing English Language communication skills among the students. Previously she was the Editor- in-Chief for the college magazine “Reflections” for more than five years . “Reflections” is a medium to inculcate communication skills, creative writing and creative skills like painting and sketching amongGrietians. She was also a coordinator for women development cell and anti-sexual harassment cell. She even handled discipline committee for first year students. She is currently the cultural coordinator for first year B.Tech. She teaches English, English Language Communication Skills, Advanced English Language Communication Skills Lab and Research paper Writing Skills to enhance employability skills and research skills among the students.
